Thursday’s Thoughts – “Follow Me”

Jesus didn’t hand Matthew a pamphlet. He didn’t demand a résumé or list of spiritual qualifications.
He simply walked by, locked eyes with a tax collector, and said two words that would change a life forever:
“Follow me.” (Luke 5:27)

And Matthew did.
He stood up.
He left the coins, the booth, the status, the past—and followed.

What’s remarkable isn’t just that Matthew followed.
It’s where Jesus found him.

In the middle of his workday.
At a desk built for compromise.
In a life most people had written off.

And now the question echoes down through the ages:

Where is Jesus walking by your life and saying, “Follow me”?
Maybe it’s a career crossroads.
A relationship that needs restoration.
A call to serve in a way that scares you.
Or maybe… just maybe… it’s the simple, sacred act of inviting someone to your table.

Jesus doesn’t wait for you to be ready.
He simply asks you to rise.

He's already set the table. All that's left is for you to follow.

Grace and peace,
Laugh often and Fear not!
David
