On Wednesday morning, October 9, 2024 around 2:30 am (Pacific Time) the Tropicana Casino and Hotel on the famous Las Vegas Strip was imploded after offering guests the world wide fabulous accommodations and entertainment since 1957!

Sixty-seven years of a formidable presence on the skyline which makes the Las Vegas Strip one of the most incredible stretches of real estate on the planet, is no longer.

It is time for something new in Las Vegas.
It is time for the skyline to take on a new vibe!
It is time for a new entertainment venue to take up valuable space on The Strip!
It is time for a modern, state of the art baseball stadium to be built to house the Oakland Athletics Major League Baseball Team.

My thoughts today surround the idea of something old, a fixture, a presence, a familiar sight being imploded, destroyed and demolished only to be replaced by something new.

I am wondering if there is anything in your life, in my life which has become a “fixture”, a “presence”, an “all too familiar sight” which needs to be imploded, demolished, destroyed in order to bring something “new” on board which will lead to a spiritually healthier life, a better life, a stronger life, a longer life.

This Sunday our Sermon Series on the most searched Bible verses we will be from
2 Corinthians 5:17 -
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come.”

I look forward to hearing about how God is making room in your life for something “new”!
